I specialise in supporting my clients in several key areas. These are areas that I not only have a passion for, and have obtained professional development in, but also have a lived experience with. Combining the three elements passion, professional development & experience provides me with the ability to not only understand you from a professionals point of view, but also from one of personal understanding...I have been where you have been, I have felt your pain, your hurt, your confusion, your trauma, and have come out the other side thriving. I can help you overcome your obstacles and barriers, as I have already achieved this myself. Some of the areas that I'd love to help you with include...
Supporting your family to become closer and stronger
I have a passion for helping families thrive. I truly believe that strong families lead to bright futures - for family members, for the family as a whole and for the larger community. As a mother of 4, and a wife, when I am struggling, my family struggles, and vice versa. The old adage of 'happy spouse happy house' rings true. When both Mum and Dad are happy, and life is going well, things see to go well. When one is suffering, things can go wrong.
When a child is going through a hard time, it can take it's toll on other members on the family. Juggling the needs of everyone in the family is hard, but it is possible, as long as you have support along the way.
I see many parents in the same place that we were in - doubting their parenting ability, wondering what to do next, how to cope with issues that arise and truly wanting to do what is right, but often not knowing what that is. If you are one of those parents, I say 'HAVE HOPE'. There are so many options out there, and I I have the ability to help parents see past the pain, the confusion, the tiredness and to look at the possibilities for the future. Using many different approaches, tools and strategies you will be able to step up, step out in faith and see that there is a bright future ahead for your family, and I will walk beside you all the way.

Be the woman God intended you to be - and thrive
In today's world, women have specific needs across the board. Often we have so many roles to fulfil, and can carry the burdens of our family, our friends, our work colleagues and many more. We can feel like no matter what we do, we just can't keep up, or we just aren't doing a good enough job. We try to juggle being a great Mum, a loving girlfriend or wife, a hardworking employee, a volunteer at a worthy cause, a loyal friend and the list can go on.
Trying to do so much, can bring on mental health issues, isolation, loneliness, fear of failure, overwhelm or simply feeling 'lost' or 'unseen'. We often try to be everything to everyone, and lose ourselves in the process.
My roles include wife, mum, homemaker, daughter, friend, aunty, volunteer, business owner, mentor, coach and counsellor. Add the responsibilities that come with all of those roles and it could become too much. However, there are many things we can do to help lighten our load - delegate, prioritise, gain a new perspective of ourselves, reach out to others for help, let go of our high expectations and so much more.
If you would like help to gain balance back in your life, deal with personal issues, find your purpose (especially if you have been out of the workforece for a while) or support in another area, please be sure to make an appointment with me today. I'd love to help you find your self-worth, your value, your uniqueness that makes you you, whilst supporting you to be the amazing women that you are meant to be. I'd love to help you thrive.
"Our generation is becoming so busy trying to prove that women can do what men can do that women are losing their uniqueness. Women weren’t created to do everything a man can do. Women were created to do everything a man can’t do"
Supporting teens & youth through tumultuous times
Raising teens is hard, it can be lonely, it can be confusing and it can be heartbreaking. However, my experience with raising my own, combined with working with youth, having a passion in supporting them and my professional development specialising in adolescence, means that I can confidently walk with you, and help you find the right solutions for you. I won't tell you how to raise your teenager, but I can help you get the core issues that you have, build the skills and tools that you need, learn to communicate better with your teen and help you connect with them so you know them nearly as well as you know yourself. 'Know thy child' is so very important in today's world.
Maybe you know of a youth that needs someone to talk with? As well as raising my own four children (ages 8, 12, 17 and 20) I have supported youth in many ways over the years. From developing and running a youth outreach program, to mentoring and coaching upcoming young leaders, I have helped many of them overcome fears, obstacles and blocks in their lives. I absolutely love working with youth from 15-25, and believe that every single one of them have much to offer this world. Contact me today to book in to see me, or send the youth my way to contact me themselves. I look forward to working with them!

Good mental health and well being support comes in many forms
Mental Health and wellbeing is an area that is close to my heart. Like many people, I have had family members and friends suffer through depression, anxiety and a range of other mental health issues. I have also had my own battles. However, with the right support, it is absolutely possible to overcome the issues. Support can come in many ways - it can be speaking regularily with someone who understands your struggles, it can be finding practical support to help take a load off your shoulders, it might be finding a way to express your emotions and feelings via art, music or sport or it might be eliminating some burdens in your life, whilst adding positive elements.
When working together, we'll find what it is that YOU need to go from simply surviving, to thriving. We'll get to the core of the issue, explore options on what might work to resolve the issue, set some goals, find appropriate tools and strategies to keep you on track, and ensure that we stay on track for the best possible outcome.
Good mental health and well being looks different for everyone. We'll find out what it looks like for you, and do all we can to achieve it.

Becoming much more than just a diagnosis!
At the age of 6 our second eldest, Joshua, was diagnosed with Autism. We were told he would likely not achieve much in life and that the main way to help him was 'antipsychotic medication three times a day for the rest of his life'. We said no - no to the acceptance of what felt like a 'just surviving' life and no to the medication. We forged our own path, often alone. However, with many changes to his (and our families lifestyle), it is hard pressed for many to even know now that Josh would have been classified as Autistic.
I see many parents who are lost when it comes to helping their child. Many who have tried multiple medications and things don't get better, and in fact, often they get worse. That's because often you are not supported in treating any cause of the autistic symptoms, you are simply a part of a system of 'symptom' > 'diagnosis' > 'medication for said diagnosis'. This system does not work. There are changes that can be made that will fundamentally impact your son or daughters future for the better, and the earlier you can make these changes, the better.
I have an absolutely passion for helping people make the decisions that are right for them. I won't be the 'specialist' for your child, YOU will be. You will learn to recongise what does and doesn't work for your child, and what you can do to make a difference. I will give you hope that all the negative ideas you have about kids on the spectrum can be taken with a grain of salt. If you want your child with ASD to thrive, and not simply survive, then book in a time with me today...I'm here to help you find a new way of doing things

No faith, great faith or doubts? Let's talk
I love my Catholic faith, I honestly do. But I haven't always had a belief in God. I grew up baptised Church of England, but that was about the extent of my religious affiliation. Occasionally, as a child, I would go to church with a friends family, however, I thought it was pretty daggy, and thought that 'churchies' were pretty uncool people.
At the age of 18, when my Father died suddenly and unexpectedly, I decided that there was no God, and if there was, I didn't like him anyway.
I lived the next 20 years seeking all things spiritual, but not finding the answers. Delving too deeply into the new age/occult bought me to my knees. God found me and saved me.
Today, I love my faith and love helping others with theirs. Whether you have no belief in God, but think that there 'might be more out there', have a loved one who is desperately sick (or maybe you are yourself) and wonder if there is possibly something after death, whether you are a long time Christian but struggle with your faith, or there is an issue you are dealing and you'd like to discuss it from a Christian perspective, I'd love to help. Whether you are an adult or a teen, if you feel you have no one else to turn to for your questions, concerns or doubts on Christianity, I'm here to talk
